Workday Auto Apply (Beta)
Workday applications are long: a new account on every company's careers site, the same experience typed in again, the same questions on every step. Algnetic's Workday worker (in beta) signs in with your saved Workday login, fills each step from your profile and resume, and pauses when it needs you.
Why Workday applications take so long
Thousands of large employers — banks, consulting firms, global capability centres and multinationals hiring in India — run their careers sites on Workday (the addresses usually contain myworkdayjobs.com). Each company's site is its own Workday tenant, so you create a separate account for each employer, upload your resume, and then walk through five to eight steps: contact details, work experience, education, application questions, voluntary disclosures, self-identification and review. Autofill from your resume helps, but it often misreads dates, titles and descriptions, so most people end up correcting every field by hand.
How Workday auto apply works in Algnetic (beta)
- Save your Workday email and password once in the encrypted Credentials Vault — Algnetic uses them to sign in or create the account on each company's Workday site
- Upload a clean, single-column resume; the worker uses Workday's 'Autofill with resume' and then checks and fills each field from your Algnetic profile
- It completes contact and phone details, work experience with dates, education, yes/no screening questions, dropdowns and consent checkboxes, step by step
- Questions it can't answer honestly, CAPTCHAs and email verification codes pause the application and mark it as needing your attention, with a screenshot
- Every submitted application appears in Live Applications, alongside your Naukri, Instahyre and LinkedIn applications
Workday application status meanings
- Application Received / Submitted — your application reached the employer's Workday. Nobody may have read it yet.
- In Process / In Progress — the application is active in the hiring workflow. It can mean anything from waiting for recruiter screening to being scheduled for interviews; it does not mean you have been rejected.
- Under Review — a recruiter or the hiring team is reviewing applications for the role, often including yours.
- Under Consideration — you are still being considered; you have not been ruled out. Many applications stay here for weeks while the team works through candidates.
- Pending / Pending Review — the employer hasn't acted on the application yet; it is usually the earliest stage.
- Interview / Assessment — you've moved forward and should expect contact or a test invitation.
- Offer — an offer is being prepared or has been extended.
- No Longer Under Consideration / Not Selected — the employer has decided not to move forward with you for this role.
- Job Filled / Position Closed / Requisition Cancelled — the role is no longer open, whatever happened to your application.
- Withdrawn — you, or the employer on your behalf, withdrew the application.
- Status names are configured by each employer, so the exact wording varies between companies. Treat 'In Process', 'Under Review' and 'Under Consideration' as 'still open'.
How to check your Workday application status
Open the careers site of the company you applied to (the same myworkdayjobs.com address), sign in with the account you created for that employer, and open Candidate Home or 'My Applications'. Each employer has its own account, so you check status company by company; signing in on one company's Workday site does not show applications to another. If you forgot which email you used, search your inbox for the application confirmation from that company. Status rarely updates in real time — weeks in 'In Process' is normal for large employers.
Workday autofill with resume not working? Fix it
- Upload a text-based PDF or Word file exported from Word or Google Docs — scanned or image PDFs give Workday nothing to read
- Use a single-column layout with standard headings (Experience, Education, Skills); two-column designs are the most common cause of scrambled autofill
- Write dates in one consistent format, such as 'Jan 2023 – Present', so start and end dates land in the right fields
- Put each job title, company and date range on its own line before the bullets
- After autofill, review every work-experience entry — Workday often merges two roles or drops descriptions
- If autofill keeps failing on one employer's site, fill that application manually; the problem is often that site's configuration, not your resume
Frequently asked questions
Is there one Workday account for all companies?
No. Every company's careers site is a separate Workday tenant with its own candidate accounts. You can use the same email and password on each, but you sign up — and check status — separately for every employer.
My Workday account is locked. What should I do?
Use 'Forgot password' on that company's Workday sign-in page and wait for the reset email; locks usually clear after a reset or a short wait. Because accounts are per company, a lock on one employer's site does not affect others.
What is the difference between pending and under review on Workday?
Pending usually means the employer hasn't acted on the application yet. Under review means someone on the hiring side is reviewing applications for the role. Both mean you are still in the running; wording varies by employer.
Does 'In Process' on Workday mean I was rejected?
No. 'In Process' means the application is still active in the employer's hiring workflow. Rejections normally show as 'No Longer Under Consideration' or 'Not Selected', often with an email.
Is there a Workday auto apply extension or GitHub bot?
Browser extensions and open-source scripts exist that fill Workday forms. They usually need you to click through each application, break when employers customise their forms, and don't keep track of what you applied to. Algnetic's Workday worker is in beta: it runs the whole flow from your profile, pauses when it needs you and logs every application.
How much does Workday auto apply cost?
Workday applications use the same tokens as other portals: one successful application uses one token. Plans start at ₹500 a month, and the ₹99 token pack is the smallest top-up.
